Microshading
Achieve perfect eyebrows without ever having to use an eyebrow pencil again!
Eyebrows are an essential part of your facial look, which is why you spend so much time in the morning fussing with an eyebrow pencil. When properly proportioned, your eyebrows can greatly enhance your appearance by framing your face, polishing your look, defining your eyes, and giving you a more youthful appearance.
Wouldn’t it be great if you could accomplish all that without having to spend all day drawing and powdering your face? Now you can with Makeup by Pink's microblading semi-permanent eyebrow tattoo procedure.
What is Microshading?
Microshading, also known as semi-permanent makeup, Ombre Powder brows, or Powder Brows is the process of using a hand-crafted machine or a mechanical technique to etch pigment into the outer layer of the skin with tiny, sterile and disposable cartridges. The result is to mimic the appearance of filled in brows or "makeup look" within the existing hair or where there is no eyebrow hair at all.
The microshading procedure is performed after a consultation with the client in which a customized eyebrow design is chosen based on your preferences and the specific measurements and features of your face. After the consultation and during treatment, the microshading technician outlines the new brow shape in pencil, numbs the treatment area and implants the pigment into the skin. As the pigment is implanted, the eyebrows gradually begin to look darker until the desired result is achieved.
Microshading is a very meticulous procedure and overall, it takes around two hours to complete. Immediately following the procedure and over the next 10-14 days, the eyebrow color tends to lighten to a considerably softer tone. Normal activities can usually be resumed the same day of the procedure.
1st Session -$550
(Click "Book an Appointment" below for booking instructions)
During this appointment we determine your shape & color, discuss the healing process according to your skin type, and apply your first layer of pigment to the eyebrows. Your brows will appear darker for 7-10 days while they are healing. Lighting and sometimes dramatic fading can occur during this period as the skin is conditioning to receive pigment.
A 2nd application will be necessary 6-8 weeks later. Includes touch-up session!
Touch-up Session - Included in Price
At your second appointment (8-12 weeks later) we will reapply the color to your original strokes and further perfect the brow shape and color where needed. If dramatic fading has occurred at your first session, the second session will now take much better in the skin. If a third session is needed, it can be done 6-8 weeks later to further reinforce color.
3rd Session - (not required) Price Varies
Additional sessions are not always necessary; however, they are most common for those with problematic oily or dry skin, have little/no natural brow hair present, or did not follow their Pre-Care/After-Care as directed.
